Do you do prints, and how much are they?
Yes, professional 8x10" prints are $4 each, and can be done immediately after your session if needed. If you are looking for a large number of copies, between 50-200, you can go to Reproductions NYC. Their website is www.reproductions.com.
What should I wear?
It is best to avoid very pale colors like white, or pale yellow as the main color (though you can wear them underneath a jacket) because they overexpose on film. Deep colors are great as long as they don't overpower and draw attention away from you. Don't wear wild patterns or logos on your clothing. It is customary to not wear jewelry if you're an actor. Layers are great for men, with mostly single color shirts and jackets. Also, remember that headshots don't typically show your pants, so you don't have to worry about that. Feel free to bring a few things and we'll decide what's best when you get here.

What should I bring?

Can I bring a friend?
Absolutely. Feel free to bring along your friend, parent, or significant other to hang out with you while your doing your shoot.
If you and your friend want to both do a headshot session, I offer a $25 discount for each of you on whichever package you'd like to go with. Just mention it when contacting me.

How does payment work?
I can take cards or cash, but don't do checks. Every once in a while, something happens with a check and it just becomes a hassle, so I no longer take them. Cash or card are easiest, and if you need an invoice/receipt, that's no problem at all, just ask. Payments are made at the end of the session, after we've had a chance to view all your images on the computer.
Payment Plans: if you are unable to pay for the session in full, I can do the shoot with you for a 50% payment up front, and then after you have paid the remaining balance, I will give you all the high-res images on a disk. Just try to be timely about it, as I do not hold on to your images for longer than two months.

How long until I get my pictures?
You will get your images in full quality on a CD when you leave, after payment has been made. As soon as you get back to me with which pictures you want touched up, I will have your touched up images ready for you within two-three business days. If you need them right away, I can make it happen, just ask. I can either email them to you in full quality or burn a CD for pickup.
Should I shoot in the studio or outdoors?
Either one works. Outdoor headshots are good for all different looks and options with natural lighting and blurred backgrounds, and indoor shots are good for flat backdrops or when the weather is bad. You'll have fewer options of backgrounds though if you choose to shoot indoors. If your session is more than thirty minutes, you can opt to do both indoor and outdoor.
How do I use a discount card?
Simply bring the card to the session. Only one discount can be applied at a time, though. So you cannot use a coupon code and a discount card for the same session.
Do returning customers get a discount?
Returning customers will always get 25% off all future sessions. Plus each time you shoot with me, your headshots will get better and better, as we'll know each other and know exactly what does and doesn't work!
How much are additional retouched photos?
Retouched images are charged per picture. But all sessions include free retouched photos. If you'd like more, just ask.
What format are the images shot in?
Images are shot digital, JPEG, and in color (if you need, I can convert a photo to black and white for no additional charge). Digital and color is the standard these days for actors, but I can shoot film too. There is an additional $75 charge as a processing and handling fee, and to cover the rolls of film. Please inquire if you are interested in a film shoot.
Do I get a CD with all my images?
Yes, you receive a disk with all full resolution images when you leave.
