A statement lipstick is great for those special occasions and parties. They can be the perfect touch to a makeup application, but sometimes it feels like you spend more time worrying if you need to touch-up, than actually enjoying the party. Here are some tips to help your lipstick stay in place.
1. Exfoliate you lips!
Using some sugar and coconut oil will work wonders and keep your lips from looking flakey and dry.
2. Use lip liner on your entire lip.
This will act as a short of base for the lipstick, and that way you don't have to spend time trying to blend your liner into your lipstick.
3. Pull apart a tissue, and using one side, gently rest it on your lips. Grab a powder brush and lightly dust your lips with translucent powder.
Make sure you only use a little bit of powder, otherwise it will mute to color of the lipstick
4. Straws, straws, straws!
Straws will dramatically increase the life of your lipstick application because your lips aren't coming in direct contact with whatever you're drinking. Ask the host of the party if they have any straws, or just bring your own... that's not weird, right?
