Here you go, guys! An end to all the confusion.
BB Cream: Short for “Beauty Balm”
A light cream with multiple benefits, including moisturizer, primer, color, and SPF.
CC Cream: Short for “Color Correcting”
Even lighter than a BB cream, this is great for people with redness, or discoloration in the skin. It also contains SPF, like the BB cream.
DD Cream: “Dermatologically Defining” or “Dynamic Do-All”
Only two companies have created a DD cream, and they both have different names for the acronym. Both are a multi-benefit product, however the DERMADoctor DD Cream good for anti-aging whereas the Julep DD cream is good for all different skin types and undertones.
EE Cream: “Even Effect” Skintone Corrector
The EE cream is exclusive to Estee Lauder (as of now). It’s part of their “Elighten” line. It’s very light but makes the skin look effortly flawless. E.L. claims that you can wear it alone or under a foundation (like many other "alphabet creams"). It’s similar to Mac’s Face and Body foundation which is more of a liquid than a cream. It’s also has an SPF of 30! Score!
