Just like any makeup, there are cheap and expensive brands for everything. And typically, what you get is what you pay for, but not always! While walking down the makeup isle in CVS (which is usually where you can find me if I'm in a CVS), I stopped at the "Milani" Cosmetics section. I grabbed one of their lipsticks, and examined the packaging. "What?! Six bucks?! Okay, I'm getting it," I decided.
Much to my surprise, this lipstick was awesome! Extremely high quality, smells good, moisturizing while still keeping a semi-matte finish. I wore it a couple hours and was blown away at how I was able to wear it without re-applying.. And then, I went back to CVS and bought four more colors.
Next time you see a "Milani" lipstick at the drug store, pick one up if you see a shade you like, you won't regret it!
NikkieTutorials is where it's at. She is one of the most knowledgeable and down-to-earth Youtubers out there. She makes learning about makeup fun and interesting, so I thought I'd post her tutorial on how to highlight and contour. Enjoy!
When you're planning for a wedding, you want to make sure that everything is perfect. Here are some tips on what to look for in a makeup artist for a wedding.
So, you've found a makeup artist that you're interested in. Do they get back to you quickly? Are they polite and accommodating? Do they talk to you on the phone, and provide clear information and answers to your questions? These are all questions you want to consider.
This is another aspect that is very important when hiring a makeup artist. Ask to view some of their work; ask for their website. This assures that it is their work, and that they're not taking photos from other makeup artists.
3. The Trial
This is the day where you make your decision. The makeup artist that you pick for your wedding day should contact you the day of the trial, the day before or even the week before, to confirm your appointment. She should be on time, or even 10-15 minutes early. She should also be friendly, organized, and hygienic. The makeup artist should be able to apply your makeup in one hour, and she should show you along the way what she is doing so there will be no surprises.
If she hits all the marks, then it looks like you've found the one! Now you can rest assured knowing that she will be there to make you look gorgeous on your big day.
