You may have heard of the Beauty Blender; it’s a dense, reusable sponge that gives you a effortless, airbrushed finish. Here are some thing’s you’ll want to know before purchasing one:
1. You absolutely MUST wet the sponge before you use it.
The Beauty Blender will grow almost double it’s size. Adding water gives it the nice bounce that makes it so famous. It also keeps the sponge from absorbing all of your foundation.
2. It’s may get stained depending on what foundation you use/how you clean it.
My biggest recommendation is to use Ivory soap to clean your Beauty Blender. They sell their own cleaner for it, but to be honest, it’s more money than it’s worth.
3. It’s pretty expensive.
The cheapest that you’ll be able to find a Beauty Blender is around $16. I think it’s absolutely worth the money, and you’ll realize that as well once you use it. However, there is a dupe that is a fraction of the price. The Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge is only about six dollars, but it isn’t exactly the same. It’s absorbs a little more foundation, and isn’t as dense. Overall though, you will get a similar effect.
