First of all, I'd like to apologize for not posting in the last two days. I was extremely busy writing two feature length films over the last five days, a huge accomplishment on my part, and I'm happy that I could do it. It was actually sort of a test, to see if I could pull it off. Anyway, enough about me, and back to some tips.
So, what are body shots?
Typically, body shots are professional photos similar to headshots, but featuring your full body. The photographer must know how to use lighting without a bounce board and know how to position you to draw the most attention to your body.
These shots are not nude, they are fully clothed. The point is to show the clothing style you have and the dimensions of your body.
Body shots can be done indoors or outdoors based on your preference and are usually used for compcards and a portfolio.
One reason actors might need body shots is if they are submitting to a modeling agency.
Hopefully this makes it a little more clear if you had questions about body shots. Remember that you can email me or comment at any time if you have any questions!
