Shoot Headshots That Pop!
$29.95
"Shoot Headshots that Pop!" was created to teach photographers the art and business of headshot photography. Headshots are not just about great portrait lighting and blurry backgrounds, but about capturing the essence of the person being photographed and bringing out their raw personality. This book is designed to teach you not only the technical details of headshot photography, but how to direct your clients as well.
To Be a Successful Headshot Photographer, You must:
- Confidently direct your clients into a genuine expression to help them form a memorable connection with the viewer.
- Know the ins and outs of lighting and how to carve and sculpt the face of each individual who comes through your studio.
- Know what backgrounds to shoot clients on based on their profession.
- Give your clients tips to help them look like themselves on their best day.
- Own the right equipment to get the job done, and know when and why certain lenses or lighting equipment is used.
- Quickly develop en eye to catch distracting elements like strongly patterned clothing or a busy background.
- Create unique photos that are memorable but easily replicable for each of your clients.
The need for Headshots is Vastly Increasing
Did you know that the headshot industry has huge potential? Getting in now can put you well ahead of the curve:
- 9 out of 10 of people research others on social media before deciding to hire or work with them. (The Muse)
- 1 in 5 people will ONLY look at profile pictures and nothing else on LinkedIn! (HSN Beauty)
- Clients are 14x more likely to be taken seriously if they have a professional headshot on their social media profiles. (LinkedIn)
Why Purchase this Book?
- I specialize in headshots. The entire focus of my career has been on bringing out the best emotions and expressions to truly help you connect with your audience. I am not a "Jack of All Trades" photographer, and have hidden all my secrets in this highly detailed book.
- It includes my personalized assistance. I love to help people who take themselves seriously. If you decide to invest in this book, it tells me that you're taking your career seriously and you want to take headshots that can really make a difference in people's lives. Therefore, if you have any questions at all about how to make your work better, feel free to email them to me and I'll personally respond with my best suggestions.
- You'll enjoy reading this book. I tried to make this book a bit entertaining, so it won't just be a super boring, technical and dull read. The amount of information in it is huge, but it's not overly complex to where your eyes will glaze over.
- This book covers all the technical and artistic information. I've see photography books out there that show you how to use your camera. I've seen some out there that show you how to direct people and position them in the frame. This book covers both, but is very specific to headshots, and you'll not only learn exact camera settings, lighting setups, and lenses to use, but you'll also learn what to say to your clients to pull out interesting and unique emotions.
