Samantha and I have shot headshots for over 12,000 people since 2009, from actors, models, and dancers to corporate professionals, authors, lawyers, and even sports and TV stars (Toni Belafonte, Serge Ibaka, Ramses Barden, David Shuster, and Brian Kelly).

Since 2009 I have built my business around my ability to work with individuals to bring out natural smiles, confident but relaxed serious shots, and genuinely interesting and intense expressions for actors. I have always offered different background options and looks to each client depending on their needs.
Many photographers build their business around one type of background or one overall look to their photos. My belief is that a headshot should be built around you as an individual. Rather than specializing in only white-background photos or outdoor shots, I have refined my technique for each style and can help you decide what option will work best based on what you do and what you're using the photo for.
I believe all photographers should be technically proficient in all backgrounds, lighting, and cropping. If a photographer only offers a single style of photography they are limiting themselves and doing a disservice to their clients. A headshot should not be about the photographer's unique background or lighting setup, but rather the individual being photographed.
You don't want someone to look at your headshot and think, "This photo looks like it was taken by so and so," right? Otherwise the focus is no longer on you, but on the photographer.
